Managing Water Use

Water is a key ingredient that enables us to successfully develop hydrocarbon resources. Hydrocarbon recovery technologies such as steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) and hydraulic fracturing have increased our industry’s water requirements. However, we are continuously implementing new processes to minimize our water use and our impacts. Technological innovation, monitoring, recycling measures, and industry collaborations all contribute towards this effort.

Similarly, we’re also improving the way we engage our stakeholders about our water use, providing them with transparent information about our water use and our water strategy.
