  • Continued wildlife monitoring, A single deceased mallard was found in the release area. The mallard was heavily decomposed and it is believed that it was deceased prior to the release. Nexen has notified the applicable regulators.
  • Continued to monitor pitfall traps for amphibians
  • Continued fluid recovery of north and south bell holes and recovery trench
  • Continued field screening for electrical conductivity, chlorides, and visual sheen
  • Maintenance of wildlife fencing and deterrents
  • Continued water sampling of Unnamed Lake and surrounding area
  • Continued aquatic assessments of the Unnamed Lake
  • Continued installation of drive point wells based on previous data interpretation and collected soil samples from well locations
  • Collected subsurface water samples from drive point wells already installed
  • Worked with the AER on the plan to remove emulsion from the pipe
