  • Updated Environmental Plan based on incoming data
  • Wildlife mitigation plan drafted
  • On-going installation of wildlife fence, silt fence, and snow fence
  • Installation of more wildlife visual deterrents (effigies, tape, pennant flagging)
  • Water sampling of unnamed lake and surrounding area
  • Based on the results from the EM38 survey, matting is being extended to the north end of the impacted are to facilitate access
Steps to be taken in the next 24 hours
  • Obtain sign off from a qualified professional for yesterday’s EM survey results and conduct further EM sweeps
  • Continue matting site
  • Stockpile coconut mats
  • Wildlife monitoring
  • On-going fluid recovery of north and south bell hole
  • Field screening for EC, chlorides, and visual sheen
  • Evolve environmental plan and wildlife mitigation plan as more data becomes available
  • Water sampling of unnamed lake and surrounding area
  • Continue wildlife fencing around perimeter of impacted area
  • Based on the EM38 survey, the following actions are being taken:
    • Complete matting to facilitate access to site
    • Begin installation of piezometer wells based on EM survey
    • Begin excavation of additional sump on north end of the impacted area
