New Employee Orientation
The different Nexen locations (UK, U.S. and Canada) facilitate New Employee Orientation Sessions. During orientation employees hear presentations from the various areas of the business. Such presentations consist of:
- Nexen company overview
- Benefits / savings plan overview
These presentations are designed to help new employees gain a total business understanding as quickly as possible.
Schedule Start Date Program
Each Nexen location has designated days for new employees to commence employment. The schedule start date program is aimed at allowing employees to start on a structured date so they can attend orientation on their first days of employment.
New Employee Portal
Nexen has developed an Employee Portal page on our intranet site. The Employee Portal is a ‘one-stop shop’ of information for new employees. The Employee Portal has information specific to each Nexen location such as key contacts in a specific location. The Employee Portal also has information regarding the different types of programs available to employees as well savings plan and benefit information, org charts, and office services information.
